Another song based on one of Ringo Starr’s Ringo-isms, “Eight Days A Week” is a fun little song that seems to be on the cusp of the end of the Beatles’ early songwriting and the beginning of their more mature phase. Unfortunately, the band wasn’t all that fond of the song and never played it when they were touring. It might have been the amount of work put into arranging the piece to their liking, with the song going through multiple iterations in the studio as Lennon and McCartney experimented, though it did result in the rare intro fade-in.
